Dark Noise Comparison

From a practical standpoint, one of the more noticeable differences between these spectrometers is their relative levels of dark noise. For high sensitivity measurements, the QE’s extremely low noise allows for very long integration times, and detection of signals which are only 10’s of counts per second. The Maya and USB/HR spectrometers are only usable for shorter integration times (seconds), but still offer reasonable performance for many higher signal applications.

Lasers

Diagnostic anSERS provides the highest quality wavelength stabilized lasers for your Raman applications. This particular model is thermoelectrically cooled for high wavelength stability. This unit has a digital readout for easy power adjustment, an independent master power key switch and laser enable switch, a remote interlock, and an Emergency Power Off (EMO) pushbutton, and is configured for 785 nm (other wavelengths available upon request).

Probes

Our high efficiency Raman coupled fiber probes are available for 532, 632, 638 and 785 nm excitation, with SMA and/or FC connectors. All probes are anodized aluminum with a stainless steel tip and have a manual safety shutter.

These non-immersion probes are ideal for performing SERS measurements with our P-SERS™ substrates, as well as for performing general Raman measurements of solids and surfaces as well as measurements through containers.
